King Proteas

I photographed these beautiful King Proteas while visiting the Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Their incredible shapes, huge flowers and powerful presence were fascinating to me and I couldn't wait to paint them. 

This painting would look truly beautiful in a large, light filled room. A reminder of the beauty of nature.
