I photographed a majestic black cockatoo during one of its rare visits to my garden. This beautiful bird symbolizes joyful creativity, a sentiment I hope resonates with you as viewers and art lovers. Inspired by my travels with my partner in our campervan on the wild, west coast of Tasmania, I painted this piece while watching stormy seas and huge waves roll in. It felt amazing to capture a native Australian bird in such a wild and natural setting.
